Open Government Licence changes: From 1 April 2012 Natural England is making its publicly available Geographic Information datasets available for commercial and non-commercial reuse under the Open Government Licence. We are now able to use this licence, as we have secured copyright exemptions from Ordnance Survey under the Public Sector Mapping Agreement. National Parks - Lake District and Yorkshire Dales Variations: On 17 January 2012 Natural England designated new areas to be added to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. The boundaries of the extensions (in Cumbria and Lancashire) are available for download here in MapInfo and ESRI format. These areas do not become National Park unless they are confirmed by the Secretary of State. If they are confirmed, the National Parks dataset will be amended to incorporate any changes.
